Portfolio Widgets
The portfolio widget presents data directly on the portfolio dashboard, without having to run a report or open a view.
The portfolio widgets are editable, update automatically and can be configured per portfolio.
Portfolio Dashboards
With Portfolio Dashboards it is possible to group multiple projects based on specific criteria (i.e. IT related, Services related, etc.) for a selected group of users.
Report functionalities are also available on these Portfolio Dashboards to provide the necessary management reports.
The Portfolio Dashboard and reports are accessible from the user’s homepage.
Financial Configuration
The Financial Configuration now supports different forecast processes, including the Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) process.
The forecast process helps the portfolio manager to manage the total budget of the portfolio and offers detailed information on expenditures per project.
E-mail Notification
It is now possible to send an e-mail notification when submitting a portfolio report request.
The project managers receive an e-mail containing a link to the portfolio report.
| Discussion Log |
It is now possible to facilitate a discussion between Project Manager and Resource Pool Manager.
This makes it easier to communicate about available resources and over-allocations and it is possible to track earlier decisions.
| Actuals on views / Grouping of skills |
Actuals are now shown in the resource pool views. This gives the resource pool managers a better overview of the actual spent hours per resource or project versus the assigned budget.
It is also possible to group skills within resource categories to improve reporting abilities. In example a group named Development contains the skills; Java, C++, .NET.
| External Users |
The Principal Toolbox now enables external users (i.e. contractors & suppliers) to register hours on assigned products and/or tasks.
The costs of these hours can be directly shown on the project and portfolio financial tab at the required financial categories (i.e. external costs).
Financial Categories
Financial categories are now available on hour rates, so it is possible to group hour rates by financial categories. This provides better reporting abilities and more insight in the costs per category.
The timesheet configuration now contains a new selection process and it is also possible to specify a custom entry field to be filled on the Timesheet, including mandatory fields.
