Architecture
The Principal Toolbox application is installed on a server computer that communicates with users by intranet or the internet.
No client installation is required since the software is fully web-based.
The Principal Toolbox software has been developed in a scalable and modular architecture based on server side Java 2 technology and relational databases.
Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) guarantees scalability, reliability, performance and compatibility with a wide range of operating systems.
Customisation and system integration
The Principal Toolbox is based on future-proof Java technology in an open, standardised architecture. This allows customisation and integration with other applications / legacy systems at minimum costs and risks.
Security
User access and rights are automatically controlled by the
Principal Toolbox for every location, file and document in the system. User verification is based on user name / password. Integration with Windows security is available ('single sign-on').
Technical support, documentation and service
Software licenses include technical support and helpdesk. Principal Toolbox documentation includes user manual, quick reference cards and an installation manual.
